Development of an Hygroscopic Condensor

Important results from the project

The process industry of today, amongst them the paper mills, have their low temperature reject and exhaust gas flow expelled directly to the surroundings. Untill Hyheat developed their patented technology to recover this vast amount of energy potential (50 TWh/y, Sweden alone) there was not economically viable option. The objective of this work is to evaluate both the equipment and the process during a test at Royal Institute of Technology with the aim to improve the capacity and performance of the plant in order to meet the industries requirement on pay-back time.
