Development of acoustic concentration monitoring for pulp industry

Reference number
Coordinator ACOSENSE AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 1 600 000
Project duration January 2011 - December 2011
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

In the Paper and Pulp industry there are no reliable methods for monitoring fluids with high levels of concentration. The project aims to apply the technique Active Acoustic Spectroscopy to in real-time monitor concentration where conventional methods doesn´t work. Real time monitoring and analysis, of for instance high concentration black liquor, is crucial for the mill in order to optimize production and minimize environmental impact.
