Important results from the project
A new strategy has been develped with increased focus on local actors and broadened network in China. The possibilities for support in China for exchange has been developed. The co-ordination via centre at Chalmers has be re-organised. The idea of an innovation forum as vehicles for co-operation development has been analysed and proposed. A self-evaluation has been performed according to plan. Possibilities for a MoU between Chalmers and CISRI have addressed, but a realised MoU is a matter of future. The needs-orientated plan has been addressed, but not yet been finalised. fastlagts.
Expected long term effects
Given new conditions and possibilites, extension of contact points and networks in China are needed, but with Chalmers and CISRI as proposed co-operation nodes. Dialogue with SAFEA in China has opened up chances, also on local level, with formal co-operation as important ground. Visits and dialogue in China have had this as focus, which could mean a strategic generic approch. At Chalmers. contact with selected universities in China have been developed followed by a few initiatives including e.g. a new STINT-project with Central South University (CSU) where companies can add on.
Approach and implementation
The work has primarily been following two lines of direction, organisational development and development of networks in China. The development of stake-holders constellations via Swedish universities has not been prioritized. The main objective has hence been to secure a functioning organisation and to pave new ways of co-operation on local level in China. This work is now accomplished and the centre is ready for next phase of development based on explicit needs-driven activities defined by Swedish companies matched with co-operation possibilities on local level.
