| Call | Visions for world-leading research and innovation in strategic technology areas |
Purpose and goal
The purpose of DEEPTECH is to secure long-term Swedish industrial competitiveness through a focus on groundbreaking production technologies that enable circularity of materials and products. The goal is to develop a vision, roadmap and actor network for an excellence cluster that functions as an engine for innovation, industrial renewal and knowledge creation. Swedish manufacturing industry should not only adapt to, but shape the global transition to sustainability and carbon neutrality.
Expected effects and result
The direct result is a vision statement for a national, open and collaborative excellence cluster where research in data-driven and emerging production technologies meets industrial needs, innovation opportunities and implementation. The envisioned effect is to create an internationally attractive world-class innovation environment, based on research excellence, research and demonstration infrastructures, leading companies and successful entrepreneurship.
Planned approach and implementation
Within the five months of the project, we will: • Create a bold and compelling vision for a Swedish cluster of excellence on data-driven and emerging production technologies for circular factories. • Develop a thematic roadmap and strategic implementation plan. • Mobilize and collaborate with a broad constellation of actors. • Prepare a proposal for the next steps for establishing a cluster of excellence in materials and production technologies.
