Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project´s aim was to further develop the company´s first product (NeuroKit v1.0) for better performance, widen its scope, and identify collaborative partners for its evaluation.

Expected results and effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The optimized version showed superior sensitivity compared to previous product and could also be used on tissue types that had previously not generated any results. All in all, this is expected to broaden our business scope considerably, which is also lead to increased interest in the company´s products and services.

Planned approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** A number of concepts for direct detection of RNA molecules were evaluated and experimentally tested, after which a version was continued for detailed optimization. Various genes and tissues were used as internal controls. The final version was compared with the corresponding cDNA analysis in the same tissue sample. The collaborators identified to evaluate the method received beta kits sent to them with detailed protocol.
