Important results from the project
Coordination of SIP Swedish Mining Innovation was carried out in accordance with the program aim to strengthen sustainability and competitiveness in the Swedish mining and metal extracting industry through research- and innovation activities. 152 new projects have started during the period and 138 new actors have been added. A number of new instruments have been used during the program period, specifically the SME network, Internationalization grants and Student Tour can be mentioned.
Expected long term effects
The program has operated in accordance with its impact logic, which is updated annually. During the six months of the program period an evaluation of finalized projects was done with the goal of evaluating program effects. The results will be widely communicated during the end of 2023 beginning of 2024. Compilation was presented briefly during Swedish Mining Research and Innovation Day 2023. The program has so far, among other things, carried out 250 events and financed around 104 ideas.
Approach and implementation
The program has been implemented in accordance with the annual activity plan, through an established method with the Work Committee and Program Board with open calls for proposals and strategic project via the Program Office. During the program period, the Program Office was increased with a hub in Bergslagen.
