Important results from the project
Transfer of knowledge to the host group in the fabrication, manipulation and optical characterization of 2D materials (Raman spectroscopy). This goal is fulfilled.
Expected long term effects
Members of the host group have been trained in the fabrication, manipulation and characterization of 2D materials and now undertake these tasks independently.
Approach and implementation
2D materials were exfoliated via micromechanical exfoliation. Their manipulation was undertaken by spin coating a thin polymer film on top of them and using micromanipulators. Their characterization was realized using non invasive optical techniques such as Raman spectroscopy.
