Important results from the project
ColorSustex has achieved its objective. An ex ante life cycle assessment (LCA) has been performed for all innovations, where important environemntal hotspots have been identified and the raw materials have been assessed as sustainable. The project has also generated a well-developed impact analysis and resulted in a competitive proposal that meets all eligibility requirements in the call for proposals. The work has also led to new collaborations within the consortium.
Expected long term effects
In the long term, we of course hope that the EU proposal will be granted, but if it is not, we have a good starting point and a consortium that wants to continue collaborating. This gives us a good starting point to try again.
Approach and implementation
ColorSustex´s planning grant was divided into five work packages (WP), structured according to the requirements in the proposal. In WP 1, data was collected for each demonstrator for the Excellence part. In WP 2, it was ensured that all eligibility requirements in the proposal were met. In WP 3, ex ante LCA was carried out and it was verified that the raw materials met the sustainability requirements. In WP 4, data was produced as a basis for the Impact part. WP 5 included project coordination.
