Purpose and goal

The accomplished goals of this project are 1) promote our coherent III-V/Si substrate product to market by communicating with customers, 2) communicate with venture capital investors for financing production scale up and team building, 3) construct optimum business model and viable plan to exploit Tandem Sun´s proprietary technology, 4) team development.

Results and expected effects

In this project Tandem Sun´s proprietary III-V/Si substrate product was introduced to customers in high efficiency photovoltaic market. Positive market feedbacks were received and negotiations lead to sales contract were established. A business developer with entrepreneur experience was hired by the supported from KIC Innoenergy and STING. A viable business model was developed and approved by KIC InnoEnergy. Venture capital investors were contacted through KIC network. The outcomes of the project will help the company to establish a strong market position.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented with a close collaboration between Tandem Sun and KIC InnoEnergy. The team development task was supported by STING for recruitment of business developer with financial support from KIC. The goal of marketing analysis and customer development was accomplished by collaborating with marketing consultant, on site visit of customers and business network of KIC. KIC venture capital network is the window for Tandem Sun to communicate with investors and identify potential investment opportunities.
