Purpose and goal

C/O City shares knowledge and creates tools to let nature solve many of the city´s major challenges. The project has developed the market for products and services in urban ecosystem services. The results have been made available with various communication activities such as conferences and websites. C/O City cooperates with the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and the Swedish National Agency. C/O City has spread internationally, in particular to Brazil through collaborations with Fortaleza and Brasilia.

Expected results and effects

Methods and approaches to integrating ecosystem services in urban development have begun to become widely known and widely available, among other things, through the C / O City association, which becomes an important network for continued development, increased competence and as a marketplace. Ecosystem services have begun to be integrated into the Citylab certification system. The customer begins to actively make demands focusing on EST in the planning, procurement and Construction.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been implemented as seven sub-projects, which together have worked for a resilient and multifunctional urban nature, capable of delivering necessary urban ecosystem services. The seven sub projects are 1-3) Tools and pilots 4) Forum 5) Communication 6) Internationalization 7) Project management. There have been strong links between the subprojects. In order to facilitate cooperation between partners and subprojects, a collaborative group was created.
