Purpose and goal

TripleA is for addictive diseases comparable with blood sugar test for diabetes. Daily monitoring of sobriety and mood with TripleA creates unique insight and continuity, enabling personalized and proactive addiction care. We have during the project improved the excellence of the AI/BI-system to analyse and support the care of patients with addictive disorders. The challenges are to create organizations and therapies which 1) proactively offer care when risk for lapse increases, 2) act rapidly on identified lapse, and 3) improve methods to motivate the addict to remain in care.

Expected results and effects

The project has resulted in 1) improved and tested user interfaces; 2) questionnaires for mood/routines/KBT; 3) an extension of the system for gambling disorders; 4) 3 patent applications. Business development resulted in 53 municipalities using the TripleA system. The clinical studies enabled development of: 5) improved “dosing” strategies for eHealth; 6) AI/BI tools e.g. a new sobriety scale (AMI), verified with a strong correlation with a selective biomarker. The expected effect of TripleA as a tool for early identification of lapse has been verified.

Planned approach and implementation

WP 1,4,5 has been performed according to plan, TripleA was CE-marked, and a very successful product and business development have been performed. The close collaboration with caregivers and patients was the key to be able to develop a user friendly and useful product for addictive diseases. The study will finally end 171231, according to a wish from the caregivers.
