Purpose and goal

The purpose of the day conference was to engage with attendees such as politicians, financiers, scientists and business representatives to discuss the Swedish innovation climate. The conference was planned and organized in such a way so that it would encourage to an open dialogue. Another objective of the Centre´s Day was to provide conditions for Berzelii- and VINN Excellence centers´ management teams to meet and exchange experiences. Both arrangements were well visited and met the targets with the number of visitors attending and with concrete ideas from the discussions.

Results and expected effects

The expected result was to attract 200 participants to the part of the conference taking place during the day. The goal was met with about 220 participants. The network meeting in the evening was also successful and 51 participants attended the dinner with representatives from most centers, their industry partners and VINNOVA.

Approach and implementation

The conference was planned and organized in collaboration by the Mobile Life VINN Excellence Centre and the Berzelii Center EXSELENT. Planning and execution of the two activities were conducted by the project leader Maria Holm, coordinator Johanna Nylén, Professor Kristina Höök and Professor Niklas Hedin, in collaboration with Mattias Lundberg, Vinnova. The work with planning and organising was conducted during the spring and the summer. During the actual execution of the event people from the centers and VINNOVA was called as support functions.
