Purpose and goal
The aim is to redefine and propose an adaptive N-minute city model that effectively responds to major urban transformations.
Expected effects and result
The project will: (1) Define locally grounded N-minute thresholds, establishing context-sensitive indicators. (2) Explore how emerging technologies and transport innovations reshape perceptions of proximity and belonging. (3) Advance policy frameworks that centre the lived experience of urban dwellers. (4) Prototype sustainable economic models for shared mobility and hyper-local services. (5) Cultivate a transnational knowledge commons through a Korean-European research network.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is structured around a multi-phase, multi-scalar strategy that enables both theoretical exploration and practical implementation of the adaptive N-minute city framework. The work plan comprises six interconnected WPs, each contributing to distinct stages of the process—from foundational theory-building to scenario testing and applied innovation. The strategy is designed to ensure conceptual clarity, methodological integration, international comparability, and real-world scalability.
