Important results from the project

The project established a strategic R&D platform between RISE and CNAM (France). The intensive collaboration effort directly resulted in the coordination and submission of two major Horizon Europe-ansökningar in 6G/AI/IoT, establishing networks with nine new European partners. The project also demonstrated vital skills transfer through a university course in Generativ AI and academic supervision for CNAM´s PhD students.

Expected long term effects

The submitted proposals drive core innovation by defining specifications for zero-energy Ambient IoT (supporting the EU´s Green Deal) and developing AI-based network control. By feeding technical specifications and expertise directly into standardization bodies (3GPP and O-RAN), the project´s results are positioned to strengthen Sweden´s influence and secure Europe´s technological sovereignty and competitiveness in the global 6G market.

Approach and implementation

The project was successfully implemented via six strategic trips. The core effort consisted of the coordination and submission of two Horizon proposals. The collaboration resulted in defined specifications for zero-energy Ambient IoT and AI-based network control. Successful activities included deep academic integration. Despite schedule adjustments, the objective of strengthening Swedish influence in 6G standardization was met.
