Project duration February 2015 - July 2015
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The project has enabled us to develop a technical specification for the features and design of the interactive digital health platform. Through an extensive study, we have identified elements crucial to strengthening self-management of chronic conditions by children and have translated these into a technical specification. Through our gamification methodology, we simplify the learning of critical information for self-care while stimulating behavioural change through interaction and motivation.

Results and expected effects

Through our study with stakeholders within the health care system, patients and researchers, we have defined a technical specification for our platform. We have identified and outlined the needs among patients and have translated these into a technical specification. We have mapped the features of our tool so that we can motivate children to engage in behavioural change and good sustainable daily habits. The results from the project will enable us to build a cost-efficient and engaging digital health platform.

Approach and implementation

Our interview study and needs mapping in addition to our analysis of existing solutions, has helped us understand the technical requirements and possibilities for our platform. Through the study we have also been able to strengthen ties with potential clients and establish relationships with new partners. We have developed a technical specification for our tool where we have outlined the platform´s features and design.
