Important results from the project
The area analysis aimed to increase knowledge about the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises in the transition to a circular bioeconomy. This was well met.
Companies prefer to acquire new knowledge through online training and shorter webinars.
Companies have difficulty finding expertise in bio-based solutions and this is hampering development.
Expected long term effects
Finding ways to make it easier for SMEs to take steps in the green transition is central, and if research programs can develop interventions that effectively solve certain problems, it can yield major benefits.
Approach and implementation
The project conducted a survey answered by 37 people, mainly CEOs and people in business development and R&D.
Roundtable discussions were held with a selection of companies to discuss challenges.
