Important results from the project
The project aims to create an open digitalisation of public housing to cut the property´s technology costs while unlocking the potential for new smart services in the home. The vision is to increase the attractiveness of the rented apartment with sustained profitability without rent increases. The project has achieved the objective of developing an open service platform consisting of an open network in the property, an open service platform and a business model. The solution has gained wide interest among housing in public housing and a good multiplier effect has occurred.
Expected long term effects
The project addresses known challenges to property owners but despite good business-case and defined needs, the solution will in short term compete with the existing infrastructure and services. A widely accepted solution is expected to come after following the completed pilots in 2016. The good acceptance within the public housing will continue and spread to private and commercial property owners. Already started and future research and development projects will add and support the solution, which will enhances the market acceptance.
