Purpose and goal

Aim: To learn a new methodology Objective: To concretize our Project idea All Ashore

Results and expected effects

We started the project with the wrong presumptions. Our goal was to design a crane. First lesson was thus obvious, do not define the solution before the problem is properly identified (eg tools 5xwhy). Once we understood the pilot project´s true purpose, we got a different focus on the work of our project. Our group that was in most ways to compare highly inhomogeneous managed to get a very coherent views on working in the pilot and how we would concretize our All Ashore

Approach and implementation

The set-up with a mixture of theory, workshops, homework was very good. For our group, it was very inspiring to work in groups with people from other industries. It gave us new insights and practical ideas. The coach was optimal for us. He had many years of industry experience and bridged very well the different way of communication between industry and academia. Some of the tools were very useful and felt completely natural. Others were described in one for us hard-to-understand academically way. We have left this feedback with examples to the research team.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
