Important results from the project

Yes, a generative AI–based prototype makes public information more accessible for the target group. About 40–50 end-users took part. Advice and recommendations were developed to increase understanding of AI in municipal services, especially for LSS and accessibility. A collaboration model between research, municipalities and users now supports future public-sector AI initiatives. Internal and external dissemination is ongoing.

Expected long term effects

The amount of information is scalable and can be expanded with additional relevant content for the target group. The prototype functions as an independent layer on top of existing web data, simplifying future expansion. RISE’s AI research acts as a future-proof partner for the public sector. Features can be expanded to increase benefits for the target group, such as greater independence, societal participation, and reduced digital exclusion. Key interests for the public sector.

Approach and implementation

6 work packages: planning, governance, and quality assurance; needs analysis and data prioritization; technical development; prototype testing; and dissemination of guidance. Innovative capability is a key focus to drive new solutions. Rapid AI advances create shifting goals, complicating long-term planning. Complex technology and legal issues make early feature decisions difficult. Variations in digital skills, cognition, and support needs require flexible design and testing approaches.
