3DPM trial in Chile

Purpose and goal

We hope to attract the interest of a large mining company in Chile so that we can start an innovation and development project with them. The aim would be to streamline their production, including our 3DPM vision measurement system using laser triangulation technology. The idea is to continuously detect particles/crushed ore on conveyor belts in the production flow to increase safety, efficiency and sustainability.

Expected effects and result

The activities supported by the grant will hopefully enable us to improve production efficiency and sustainability in the mining industry in Chile through our advanced vision-based solution and laser triangulation technology. The short-term goal of the project is to make potential customers and partners understand the potential of our product/service in Chile, as well as to make progress in creating an innovation and development project with a major mining company in the country.

Planned approach and implementation

We are taking a trip to Chile during weeks 40 and 41, We will participate in Bussiness Swedens activities October 1-3. This includes a visit to a mining company. We have also continued in the Sweden Mining Innovations challenge from Codelco Andina Mine. We will visit these on October 6th.
