Innovation Ecosystem Playbook – a practical guide for regions and development environments

It is not about creating new structures for the sake of it, but about strengthening relationships, building trust and finding ways to work together in the long term. The playbook is based on experiences from both Sweden and international examples, and has been developed in collaboration with Ramböll and Dansk Design Center.

Three-step guidance

The guidance helps you create a common direction for ecosystem development, identify and develop the resources needed to support innovation, and understand what activities the ecosystem community needs to develop to successfully promote and support innovation and scalable businesses. The guidance is divided into three parts and is currently only available in English.

• Current situation analysis – where do we stand today?
• Direction – what do we want to achieve together?
• Activation – how do we take the next step?

In addition, the playbook highlights seven central themes for coordination in ecosystems – from skills supply and infrastructure to capital, collaboration and follow-up. You will likely recognize many of the issues – whether it concerns green transition, local business development or systems innovation.
