More about the call for proposals
As the global space economy grows, Europe's need for autonomous access to space and related technologies grows. The call for proposals aims to develop the space sector by promoting the development of AI and edge learning technologies for the space sector. It is implemented within the framework of ESA Phi-Lab Sweden, which is part of ESA Phi-Lab NET, a strategic programme for the commercialization of space technology innovations.
The call for proposals has two tracks:
- Software track - Intelligent satellites and cognitive autonomy.
- Hardware track - Next generation space computing architectures and data chains onboard satellites.
The projects granted in the call for proposals will run for a maximum of 24 months. Each project can apply for between 2.5 million and 4 million SEK in funding. The total preliminary budget of the call is 8 million SEK.
