Civil-military synergies in research and innovation, what's going on?
Dual-use or civil-military synergies, responsible internationalization or export control, strategic autonomy or long-term cooperation – what is really going on in the tricky research and innovation landscape and how do we navigate these troubled waters? Sweden's research and innovation office in Brussels, SWERI, invites you to an evening of information and mingling where we discuss ongoing and future initiatives in Sweden and the EU. The meeting is held for Swedish actors in Brussels in connection with the Security Research Event 2023 conference.
Andreas Aurelius, head of Vinnovas EU-unit, and Christian Österlind, who is head of innovation at SWERI, begin by welcoming you. They will also moderate the evening's conversation, which includes presentations by Johan Lindberg and Ann-Mari Fineman from Vinnova. Ann-Mari will present the work with responsible internationalization. She leads Vinnova's work on these issues and also has several years of experience working in the field of innovation with civil-military synergies, both in Sweden and internationally. Johan is an expert in civil security and will talk about "Funds, support functions and politics - what is going on in the ecosystem for civil-military synergies?"
After the presentations, there is an opportunity to ask questions and mingle. Drinks and Hors d'oeuvres are served.
This is a physical event that will not be webcast, but if you are in Brussels and interested in security issues, research and innovation, you are welcome to sign up.
