Webinar on new report: Added value of participating in EU framework programmes

Digitally Fri 28 Apr 2023 at 12:00-13:00

What are the driving forces for Swedish actors to participate in the EU's research programme? What role do the opportunities for new collaborations and new perspectives play, or does funding attract the most? A new report presents positive and negative incentives to participate, but also own strategies.

This web page has been machine translated. If there are any uncertainties, please refer to the Swedish text.

During the webinar, the report Added value of participating in the EU's framework program will be presented by Tomas Åström, associate senior consultant at Faugert & Co Utvärdering, who has led the work to produce it.

The report will be commented on by, among others, Britta Fängström, senior advisor, Formas, and Anna Wibom, program manager, SIP Smartare Elektroniksystem. Mats Rosenquist, who works with public partnerships and project at Volvo Group, shares experiences from EU funding and what it can mean for an R&D-intensive company.

This webinar is for those who work with international issues and policy around innovation and research, and for those who want to know more about how EU funding works in a national perspective.

On behalf of Vinnova, Faugert & Co Utvärdering have analyzed the Swedish participation in Horizon 2020 and Horisont Europa, including partnership programs. The purpose of the assignment was partly to generate data for Vinnova's reporting of the Swedish participation, and partly to create data to strengthen Swedish participation in Horisont Europa and in partnership in line with the national strategy. The data collection has consisted of document analyses, register analyses, in-depth interviews and a web survey, six case studies of partnerships and four case studies of the work of other countries to make the most of the framework programme. The assignment was carried out during the period April–December 2022. See link to the report below,

You who are watching will be able to ask questions in the chat.
