The seminar is aimed at those who work with research, innovation or business policy and are interested in policy development. During the seminar, you get to take part in and discuss more perspectives on innovation policy.
Which abilities and prerequisites have been and continue to be important? What challenges in policy governance and policy design are important for success? We have gone from industry support to system innovation. Societal challenges have been an important driving force for the development of innovation policy, as well as a need to develop Sweden's research and innovation system.
Paradigm shifts and insights from international research and policy development, for example within the OECD, have also influenced the national research and innovation policy. Current experiences from Sweden and Finland regarding innovation policy for system innovation are presented and different paths for the development of Sweden's innovation policy are discussed.
The seminar is based on two chapters in a recently published anthology: Smart Policies for Societies in Transition The Innovation Challenge of Inclusion, Resilience and Sustainability.
