Traffic-safe automation - FFI - spring 2026
With this the offer we want to support research and development activities that increase road safety and make transportation more sustainable through safe, connected, automated vehicles prepared for shared use. The offer is part of the FFI Trafiksäker automation sub-programme within the Vehicle Strategic research and innovation (FFI) collaboration.

What can you apply for?
Research and development activities in safe automated vehicles, road user safety, integration of vehicles and infrastructure for safe transportation solutions or enabling methods and technologies with application for safe automation.
Who can apply?
Research organizations, companies, public and non-profit organizations. All projects must consist of at least 2 parties.
How much can you apply for?
Vinnova grants funding of a maximum of 50 percent for the sub-program. Project must have at least 25 percent business funding. The maximum amount for preliminary studies and smaller studies is SEK 500,000. Total budget approximately 60 million.

How to apply
To apply for funding from us, you need to fill in a longer application, which we then assess in competition with others. If we decide to finance your project, you need to report to us how the project is going, so that we can see that you carry out the project as you described in the application.
