Important results from the project
The Travalytics project has led to a new company and a functioning digital service that automates the collection and analysis of business travel for CSRD reporting. The goals have been met with a launched MVP, user testing and first customer. The project demonstrates the need for clear regulations and that sustainability must be linked to business benefit in order to sell, and strengthens the opportunity for companies to reduce emissions with better data.
Expected long term effects
Travalytics is expected to eventually enable business travel to become a natural part of companies´ climate work. Through automated data collection, more companies can measure and reduce emissions, promote sustainable travel and integrate travel data into ESG reporting. This strengthens climate work, improves employees´ health and contributes to a more sustainable, efficient and inclusive transport system.
Approach and implementation
The project was run in four work packages: management, technology development, user testing and business development. The approach was user-driven and agile with feedback loops from pilots. Trots IT-krav delayed testing slightly, but the schedule was largely kept. The collaboration worked well and led to a GDPR-secured app, backend and report, as well as the formation of the company Travalytics AB for commercialization.
