Purpose and goal
The project aims to develop a procedure (from onboarding to management and acceptance of the new technology) to provide buildings with an open platform for energy management. The goal is to make buildings "smart", i.e. capable of communicating with the electricity and district heating grid, optimizing energy use and reducing power peaks, and improving indoor comfort. The project will be demonstrated in three cities in Europe in different types of buildings.
Expected effects and result
Open platform with interoperable and user-friendly interfaces supporting interactions between buildings and electricity grids System for energy management and optimization in buildings that coordinates all resources and existing systems Detailed procedure for onboarding, identification of bottlenecks and other common problems when installing a BMS Strategy for "capacity building" acceptance of innovation and trust creation among end users Plan for commercialization and financial sustainability
Planned approach and implementation
The project will be divided into three main parts. The first is about the technology - integrating the innovative algorithms into the platform and further developing it with AI services for automatic identification and integration of the components from the existing control system. The second aims to increase acceptance of the new technology and build trust among end users in a process of "capacity building". The third will identify a strategy for commercial dissemination of the platform.
