Important results from the project
The goal was to develop a) a scalable solution that leads to the need for parking decreasing rather than increasing until 2030 despite significantly more residents and workplaces, and b) a cooperation and implementation model possible to start establishing already now. This resulted in a proposal on a solution that was based on a simple consultation among the participants in mid-April and which is further developed, concretized, tested, evaluated, pre-scaling is prepared in a, now granted, step 2 - project.
Expected long term effects
The results were packaged in a concept study consisting of An overview of the needs of the various stakeholder groups in the district; Insights and conclusions from the external analysis; A model for collaboration between real estate actors on common mobility services that describes responsibilities, processes and business model alternatives; and A plan for a demonstration project in the district involving the implementation of the mobility broker solution shared by several real estate actors (public housing companies, commercial property owners and developers).
Approach and implementation
The study used different qualitative methods to map needs and opportunities for a district-wide mobility service: Qualitative interviews with local stakeholders Qualitative interviews with representatives from other municipalities in Sweden working to reduce parking and have collaboration models with real-estate developers Work shop for joint development process for business models Survey on consolidated workshop results
