Important results from the project

The project aimed to enhance rural mobility through an inclusive, flexible on-demand public transport model. It achieved this by testing X-linjen´s dynamic operations, engaging senior citizens to understand user needs, and integrating multimodal transport options. Approach and implementation

Key recommendations for inclusivity in X-linjen include building pride in the service, training drivers to enhance comfort, and providing app tutorials and community support. Promoting the service at events and enabling trip booking for others are crucial. Reducing uncertainties with clearer communication, accessible interfaces, and adapting timings can improve usability. Värmlandstrafik has started to train customer service staff to enhance phone-based bookings, supporting elderly users effectively.
