Purpose and goal
Fureho AB is a deep-tech startup developing innovative 3D fibre pre-forms for lightweighting composites to significantly reduce the aviation industry´s CO2 emissions. Ceramic matrix composites reinforced with Fureho´s 3D fibre pre-forms offer exceptional structural robustness and are resistant to extremely high temperatures. To further develop this material for aero engine gas turbines, international collaboration with value chain actors is crucial. This planning project will equip Fureho with expertise and resources to develop a competitive EIC Pathfinder application.
Expected effects and result
This planning project aims to produce and deliver a competitive Pathfinder application proposal that has a high chance of securing funding to advance the development of the innovative material. The main project, for which the Pathfinder grant is sought, would propel the technological and material developments to a higher TRL.
Planned approach and implementation
The planning project includes bringing on board various actors for defining technical requirements, designing a work plan, and creating a robust Pathfinder application in line with EIC criteria. This 7-month project consists of three work packages that will focus on developing a project plan, documenting the scientific basis, and finalizing the budget.
