Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Within the project, a method for risk assessment and risk analysis has been developed, implemented and analysed. 1, Risks in the garage/workshop have been analysed. This work was not part of the plan, but was urgent in order to start the development. 2, Intended automated driving in the campus area has been analyzed. Risks have been identified and analyzed. However, all safety measures have not yet been completed and documented. 3, Seminar conducted 16th May 2024. Tecosa network, PhD students, researchers, research engineers at KTH.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project completed in all parts. Project summary below: The aim of this study is to develop a procedure for, and also carry out parts of, risk assessment and risk analysis for KTH´s intended test with an autonomous car on campus. A further objective of the project is to organize the safety work and to hold a seminar with knowledge exchange around tests with autonomous cars and to reflect on the state-of-the-art in an international perspective in this highly topical area.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The tasks according to the plan were probably correctly planned in general, but a couple of activities took more time than expected. 1. The plan was to set a method, analyze driving cases, refine the method, and find safe solutions. But handling a semi-automated car at all in a garage with people around required considerable risk analysis. 2. Analyzing the driving cases themselves with a conventional risk analysis method became a bigger task than expected despite severe limitations in the system (safety driver, speed limits, safety margins)

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
