Use and competence building - MAX IV and ESS

Vinnova wants to strengthen the conditions for increased and broadened use of advanced research and innovation infrastructures. Since 2018, Vinnova has carried out special efforts around how facilities for neutron scattering and synchrotron light, such as ESS and MAX IV, can be used to find solutions to the challenges facing industry and society.

Vinnova has financed more than 130 projects where companies collaborate with experts to build understanding and capacity around how the worlds facilities for neutron scattering and synchrotron light can be used,  for instance in the development of new materials, pharmaceuticals or industrial processes.
