Syfte och mål
Cyber-physical systems put increasing demands on reliability, usability and flexibility while, at the same time, lead time and cost efficiency are essential for industry competitiveness. Tools and environments for model-based development of cyber-physical systems are becoming increasingly complex and critical for the industry: tool interoperability, vendor lock-ins, and tool life-cycle support are some of the challenges. The project focuses on interoperability between standards, improved execution speed of (co-)simulation, and certified code generation.
Förväntade effekter och resultat
The project will contribute to competitiveness by addressing challenges related to 1) efficiency and quality of verification, validation, testing activities, 2) interoperability of the key- technology standards Modelica/ UML/Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI), and 3) increased speed of execution, simulation, and dynamic optimization of models through enhanced multi-core based technology.
Planerat upplägg och genomförande
The value chain in this project related to model-based development has three main positions. 1. End-users use the model-based simulators for the development & operation of systems, they will help to specify the needs for the OPENCPS platform. 2. Methods and Standards developers develop the methods and the algorithms for integrating the different technologies present in the project. 3. Technology providers will implement the technical solutions and algorithms developed in OPENCPS in the existing M&S tools and externally distribute these tools. The project is organized in 6 WPs.
