Syfte och mål

The objective of the project was to increase understanding of the Demola model and prepare a roadmap proposal of Baltic Sea Region Demola Network implementation and coordination. During the project several workshops have been organised to evaluate the potential of the Demola concept in Baltic Sea Region context. Based on these discussions active preparations to implement the Demola concept have started in four regions. The objectives of this feasibility study objectives have been achieved well with sustainable impact on Baltic Sea Region innovation ecosystem.

Resultat och förväntade effekter

The long-term objective of the proposed collaboration model is to create a BSR-wide operational network that utilises the Demola concept as a collaboration platform. During the project several regions have started preparations to start utilising the Demola model and activities in these regions will start in 2013. The project has been a quick start for BSR-wide Demola collaboration and as a result concrete roadmap have been developed. Starting in 2013 Demola Network can be used as a platform and enabler for cross-border co-creation of universities, businesses and talented students.

Upplägg och genomförande

The project´s target timetable was challenging and therefore project was continued to December 2012. Due to the high interest from regions discussions have been initiated with several stakeholders to create a good basis for the next phases of collaboration. In overall the project has been implemented according to the project plan.
