Viktiga resultat som projektet gav
For Karolinska Institutet, the aims and objectives were: Develop and validated technique for separation of polypeptides according to their isolectric point. The tool should be compatible with mass spectrometrical analysis of tryptic peptides.
Långsiktiga effekter som förväntas
A unique device and method to separate peptides according to isoelectric focusing has been developed. These efforts are well reflected in the scientific outcome, which is described in one article already published in the prestigious Analytical Chemistry (see attached document). An additional article is currently being in the late stages of the internal reviewing process, and has already being accepted as a poster presentation at the coming ASMS meeting in Minneapolis, USA (see attached document). A detail description of the results can be found at Appendix 1.
Upplägg och genomförande
KI worked very closely with Biomotif AB to contribute to the development of this novel analytical tool by providing room, instrumentation, consumables and many work-hours from Prof. Roman Zubarev and postdocs.
