Important results from the project

The project has met its objective and led to expected results. Most validation projects are still in early stages of development where verification and initial market analyses dominate, but several have at the same time taken clear steps forward and advanced in maturity. We have strengthened the validation within the regulatory framework for medical technology and diagnostics and further developed the networks with end users and industry, which creates better conditions for future innovations.

Expected long term effects

Project that has taken important steps forward and the development of our activities gives us greater opportunities in the future. The new opportunities to support the regulations for medical technology and diagnostics mean that spinoff companies from KI have better conditions to reach the market. Important going forward is to continue to strengthen collaboration with healthcare and industry and build entrepreneurial networks that can provide more CEO candidates.

Approach and implementation

The project has been implemented according to an established model where ideas from researchers are evaluated, prioritized and receive targeted verification efforts. The approach combines coaching and advice from our internal team with expert support in legal, patent, market and regulatory matters. New validation services with a focus on regulatory frameworks to support the deeptech projects were developed.
