Purpose and goal
This project aimed to bring together expertise from AI (artificial intelligence) and LCE (lifecycle engineering) in a multidisciplinary research effort. It aimed to utilise latest techniques efficiently for Swedish production industry (Swedish manufacturing firms and information communication technology firms). A main goal of the project was to develop a plan on how to utilize this hybrid approach in production for complex, long-life products manufactured by global firms based in Sweden.
Expected results and effects
The goal above was achieved through a large number of meetings. The project plan for Step 2 was documented (named Adapt 2030) involving new partners. The major expected impacts of this project (Step 1) and the forthcoming demonstration project (Step 2) on Swedish industry lie in their improved capacity and competitiveness in production. Improved environmental performance is also expected.
Planned approach and implementation
The project was carried out according to the project design as efficiently as possible. New partners (e.g., Addiva and Volvo Construction Equipment) were added to the project plan for Step 2 (Adapt 2030). All the Valid Life partners remained in the Adapt 2030 consortium.
