Purpose and goal

The objective has been that idea owners and inventors should get help to validate early ideas with support from experienced inventors, innovators, specialists and entrepreneurs and that way be able to make a decision to continue the work to realise their idea or to stop the project. According to an enquiry ca 84 % of inventors have noted that they are satisfied or highly satisfied with their participation in UppfinnarLotsen.

Expected results and effects

The expected result of the project was that early ideas should be evaluated as professional as possible by support from experienced innovators/entrepreneurs and other experts with actual experience of the innovation process. This means that the inventor has got a solid base to stand on to be able to make a decision about how future investments could look like. By such support more project ideas with good potential are expected to survive and could have more innovation support in the future. According to an enquiry 90% of inventors think that their idea has developed during the project.

Planned approach and implementation

The selected inventors have got a supervisor to coordinate the project and to give advice, guide and apply for resources. An evaluation group has assigned relevant resources. After evaluation assignment of further resources has been done according to the need to develop the inventor as well as the idea. In parallel education has been provided by Drivhuset, SVID, CSR Västsverige, Coompanion and consultants within Intellectual property/agreement and marketing koncepts with excellent result. According to an enquiry 91% of inventors have received relevant advice/support.
