Purpose and goal
The goal of the current project was to technically and commercially develop a new concept to achieve good grip between ski and snow in cross country skiing. The new product should give good grip in most weather conditions. The product has been evaluated in the skiing tracks with good result. Subsuppliers have been evaluated and a process for production and packaging is ready. A patent application has been submitted.
Results and expected effects
The project has resulted in a product concept that is ready for production. The prodcution cost will allow a competitive consumer price. The product has been evaluated in teh skiing tracks and user instructions have been developed. The final prodct will be avaiable for the 2013/2014 winter season.
Approach and implementation
A delay in the patent application process resulted in an extended project duration. The patent application has now been submitted. Otherwise the project has been conducted in accordance with the plan.
