Purpose and goal

According to the purpose of the project, we have investigated the potential market and identified the segments with the greatest need; we have interviewed them and created the minimum viable product (MVP). Then we verified the need and product to market fit (PMF). It still takes some work to finally adapt the product to the customers´ needs and we currently have the pilot projects in progress with 12 customers. In addition, we have gathered the corporate consortia that want to implement our material in their products and have applied for the continued R&D project for it.

Expected results and effects

We have identified several niches, where graphene textiles can be used: 1. defense textiles for radar signature reduction 2. textile heating elements for sports, outdoor and e-transport 3. pressure-sensitive fabrics for patient monitoring in healthcare. Each area sets its own requirements for the new material to be used as a component, including performance, cost and environmental impact. We initiated the pilot projects to best suit our material for their needs. Introduction of the material on the market will enable lighter and smarter products, to be made in Sweden.

Planned approach and implementation

We have investigated the potential market and identified the segments that have the greatest need in our graphene textiles. For these segments, we conducted the interview and designed the minimum viable product (MVP) and formulated a value proposition (VP) for our material. We then verified the need and product to market fit (PMF) for several segments, by providing samples to customers, asking for feedback and payment for the samples. Thus, we have the confirmation of the real need, the customers´ payment readiness and PMF.
