Purpose and goal

Travel Hack 2013 was organized as an activity to promote Trafiklab and simultaneously push for open data in the public transport industry. The contest was a follow-up contest West Coast Travel Hack, which was organized in 2011. Travel Hack is a competition that aims to inspire the creation of digital services to make traveling by public transport more attractive.

Results and expected effects

Approach and implementation

TravelHack delivered beyond expectations linked to the goals that were set for the project. The project had a strong impact among third-party developers and the industry and led to a number of prototypes of services with a strong potential to be viable over time.
