Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to participate in Innovation Week in Brasil and make contact with SENAI to discuss a deeper cooperation for international innovation. RISE participated in a workshop on Industri 4.0 in Salvador at SENAI CIMATEC and listened to swedish industry´s Brasilian representatives viewpoints. RISE & SENAI signed an MoU to continue discussions for a deeper cooperation between the institutes to enable/facilitate innovation projects. The next step will be to define the structure, working methods and framework for the cooperation.

Expected results and effects

The result of the project/trip was a signed MoU and agreement between RISE and SENAI to take the next step in discussions for a formal cooperation. The next step is expected to be a 6 months prestudy to further develop the cooperation.

Planned approach and implementation

Participation in Innovation Week in Brasil was a success for RISE in that it became clear that a cooperation between RISE and SENAI can lead to an increased innovation level between the countries. The week was split up between a workshop for Industri4.0 at CIMATEC in Salvador and a meeting at SENAI in Sao Paolo with presentations of ongoing projects between Brasil and Sweden that are financed by Vinnova.
