Purpose and goal

Seaqure labs, a Gothenburg-based biotechnology company developing sustainable feed ingredients from mycoprotein, is participating in InnoMatch Brazil 2026 as part of Sweden-Brazil Innovation Week. The aim is to initiate collaborations with Brazilian actors in two tracks: companies in agriculture and food with relevant side streams, and universities for research collaborations on fermentation technology and feed applications. The goal is to establish contacts for collaborations in Brazil.

Expected effects and result

The trip is expected to result in identified Brazilian partners in two tracks: suppliers of sidestreams and universities/research institutes for continued research collaborations. The impact will be concrete follow-up meetings, a clear plan for continued business and research development in Brazil, and strengthened international relationships that support Seaqure labs´ scaling of mycoprotein-based feed ingredients and contribute to reduced dependence on fishmeal and soy.

Planned approach and implementation

The trip is carried out according to the InnoMatch Brazil programme: arrival and networking meetings in São Paulo, matchmaking via the B2Match platform where profile and collaboration needs are registered in advance, visits to innovation ecosystems and universities and bilateral meetings with Brazilian companies in agriculture and food. After returning home, identified contacts will be followed up with the goal of converting them into concrete collaboration agreements or pilot projects.
