Important results from the project
The outcomes lab provided important insights into how municipalities and civil society can develop and implement outcomes-based approaches that strengthen the effects in social welfare. The labs became practical arenas for testing, reflecting and learning.
In all labs, a genuine commitment to improving the living conditions of the target groups was expressed.
Theory of Change as a framework proved to be a powerful tool for creating consensus, prioritizing efforts and following up on results.
Expected long term effects
As it was a short feasibility study, it is difficult to predict any long-term effects.
Approach and implementation
The core has been four pop-up labs in the four municipalities. The labs have included skills-enhancing parts on outcome-focused working methods and theory of change and workshop parts where the participants were able to apply the knowledge by working out proposals for outcomes for various local initiatives in small groups using theory of change and the three horizons method as tools. The lab concluded with a review of the groups´ outcomes/theories of change and joint reflection and summarization
