Important results from the project
Showing the possibilities for personnel in industries to be more efficient and productive using digital tools at the workplace are huge. We demonstrate the power and possibilities a ´mobile control room´ has by utilising smartphones, apps, sensors and connectivity in the industrial domain.
Expected long term effects
Inspiration! Show that even ´simple´ apps can be of great value in the industry if developed in cooperation with industries and its users. The developed demo has impressed at all presentations, industrial users have clearly stated the functionality the app provides would be of value for them.
Approach and implementation
The project members was already before the project started well aware of many of the use cases for mobile in the industry, but before implementation started all knowledge and assumptions relating to mobile was verified with industrial users. An Android app was developed and was shown to industrial users to get their feedback during the development. In the end of the project a first prototype is ready. We are now planing on showcasing this prototype on events, for industry partners etc.
