Purpose and goal

The project aims to complete a Horizon proposal for a comparative and interdisciplinary analysis of the implementation of AI Act in the public sector in six EU Member States. The analysis focuses on differences in governance traditions, digital maturity and regulatory cultures. The goal of the Horizon project is to identify and describe effective local practices and develop knowledge that can support a more harmonized and effective application of AI Act in the public sector in Europe.

Expected effects and result

In addition to scientific publications and theoretical funding, the project will deliver synthesizing policy analyses and recommendations to both national and European decision-makers. An important deliverable is also the development of an educational program (MOOC), which strengthens organizations´ innovation capacity and ability to navigate the eligibility requirements of AI regulation.

Planned approach and implementation

The work of designing the proposal is structured in four distinct work packages, which together constitute an iterative and coordinated process for developing the project´s content and focus. Within each work package, successive text iterations are carried out in close collaboration with the other applicants the actors and with representatives of stakeholders within the Swedish public sector. The work is organized through joint writing processes etc.
