Important results from the project
The project successfully delivered a roadmap for a national test center for advanced digital infrastructure. By mobilizing a unique consortium, we identified key needs for 5G scaling and 6G leadership. We proposed a Hybrid PPP model utilizing existing assets to reach operational status within three years. Furthermore, we aligned with parallel pre-studies to prepare a joint implementation plan for the next phase.
Expected long term effects
Hopefully, the insights from the pre-study will lead to the implementation of a national test center model that takes into account all the desired aspects of the call, enabling the initiative to meet its goals and achieve the desired impact.
Approach and implementation
The project was structured into five work packages led by a steering group (Ericsson, LU, KTH, FBL) with weekly meetings. Implementation proceeded according to plan, comprising state-of-the-art analysis, workshops, and interviews with an engaged reference group. The collaboration was successful and included coordination with parallel pre-studies. The project delivered the intended roadmap without significant deviations or external obstacles.
