Purpose and goal

The aim was to create the basis for a digital tool that will support young rheumatics to fulfill their dreams, based on the following objectives: - Users´ needs, driving forces and behaviors in contact with healthcare and a basis for a user-adapted service - What affects the reception of the service and how it could be implemented in healthcare - Which existing platforms enable data sharing with healthcare (interoperability) and which digital care apps that constitute best practice The aim has been fulfilled and have laid a good foundation for the Dreamcatcher´s continued existence.

Expected results and effects

The results lays the foundation for developing the Dreamcatcher into a fully functional platform. By conducting a dialogue with both patients and healthcare staff, we have highlighted important needs that will be of great benefit in the future when we design a detailed functionality, design and copy for the app. A number of different technical obstacles were discovered, such as access to patient registers and healthcare records. We have identified a qualitative and cost-effective solution based on an already established method. The solution is crucial for the Dreamcatcher´s future.

Planned approach and implementation

To investigate the needs, driving forces and behaviors of our prospective users, we have conducted workshops with both young rheumatics and healthcare staff. They have been followed up with interviews to gain a deeper understanding of, for example, a need or a specific function that several people highlighted. To establish a technical framework, we have conducted benchmark analyzes and interviews with field experts. We see that the qualitative surveys together with benchmark analyzes and interviews, form the basis for a service that is perceived as valuable and credible by users.
