Project duration May 2019 - February 2020
Status Completed
Venture Social innovation - development and testing
Call Test and develop a social innovation – step 1 2019

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to verify the innovation Alma model, test it at more schools to strengthen the power of innovation and gain more co-creation, and to consolidate additional modules. The aim was to utilize knowledge from the pilot school and further develop it, to test the model in more school areas and increase collaboration. About 80 educators and other school and preschool staff have tested on the Alma model during the fall of 2019 (2 schools and 3 preschools). Collaboration with the theater group and people with an inside perspective of having autism / ADHD has been developed.

Expected results and effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The effects have been described in a C-thesis in special education, carried out by a special educator at the pilot school. Everyone who participated during the fall (81 persons) also completed a questionnaire in which they were able to assess their knowledge of the target group, about attitudes and adaptation of the physical environment before and after the project. The result shows the proportion who rated their knowledge as "quite large" before and after the project increased by up to 40% (see attached questionnaire)

Planned approach and implementation

The project was carried out as planned in all parts. The model was received positively, above expectation, from all schools / preschools. Although there was a smaller proportion who described that they did not receive any new knowledge, the vast majority were satisfied and felt that the knowledge about girls with autism and ADHD had increased, that they had increased in-house knowledge and new tools to develop the school environment. By consolidating new modules, a team has been created around the Alma model, which guarantees continued work and development of the model.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
